A1950s American Navy Blue Wool Hat with Aurora Borealis Beading

A 1950s navy wool felt bucket-style hat beautifully embellished with iridescent AB crystal beading in an all-over geometric pattern. The deep navy felt provides a rich backdrop for the shimmering bugle and seed beads, which catch the light with subtle flashes of blue, green and violet tones. The softly rounded crown and gently downturned brim create a classic mid-century silhouette, elegant and easy to wear. The interior retains the original Bransom label, Evanston, Chicago, Illinois, with size tag 22. There is a tiny hole to the back and a small amount of bead loss as shown in the photographs, however this does not detract from the overall presentation. The hat remains structurally sound and displays beautifully. Internal circumference 52cm (20.5”).
