A rare set of six Art Deco Bakelite bird napkin rings, shown here in vibrant red, marbled yellow and rich green. Each bird is beautifully stylised, the circular body forming the ring, with a forward-pointing beak and simple tail detail resting on a flat base. The marbling and natural veining are clearly visible in the yellow and green examples, while the red pairs present in strong, glossy colour. These are rare with inset eyes. As seen in the photographs, the beaks vary in tone, including yellow, orange and black. These charming Bakelite table pieces were highly popular in the 1920s, yet complete sets are increasingly difficult to source today. A wonderful and sculptural addition to any Art Deco table setting or Bakelite collection. Dimensions approximately 6.5cm high, 7.5cm long and 1.5cm thick. Total mass for the six 147gm.
