Rare Art Deco Dog Head Walking Stick Gadget Glove Holder Mouth Opens

A Rare Art Deco Bulldog Dog Head Gadget or System Cane / Walking Stick. The spring-loaded mouth works perfectly and opens by a button at neck, exposing the red tongue. The mouth grips and is used as a Glove Holder. The head is intricately carved wood with glass eyes, a horn Collar and short length of Malacca cane below. The lower shaft has been replaced at some stage with very strong Mahogany column with a ferrule at base with a rubber stopper for safety grip. Excellent condition for 80-90 years of age with minor polish loss to the exposed areas of the head only, otherwise all perfect. Dimensions approx.: Overall length 92.5cm.; Head 5cm wide x 6cm deep.
